There is a difference between antivaxxers and people who are concerned about taking a vaccine that is still under trial until 2023. Even WHO have admitted that the vaccine doesn’t make you immune and you can still catch covid also the coercion and blackmail that is happening around the world to enforce this upon people surely should be a concern. What is happening is dividing people.

You must be the only person that thinks the vaccine makes you immune. No one has said the vaccine stops you from getting covid.

The vaccine stops you dying. It stops you spending weeks in hospital with tubes in every orifice, it stops the hospitals being full up of Covid patients (who wouldn't take the vaccine) which take up resources that could be used for cancer patients, stroke victims, etc..

It was the same with car seat belts.

Many didn't want to use them as it was government intrusion. It divided people. Now almost everyone wears them because it saves lives, not just yours but others. It just makes sense.

Now we have vaccines. They don't just save your life but others.

It just makes sense to have a vaccine.

The double dose was supposed to grant people immunity. So if it worked so well in the first instance, why do we need a booster shot after 2 months? What happens when that runs out? Do we have to have a jab on a monthly basis?

18/19 months ago , we were praying for a vaccination. We were told that it was very unlikely that a vaccination could be ready for 18/24 months. With magnificent scientists, many of us have now been double vaccinated. We have also been told that our vaccination allows us a good protection but not immunity. Information and facts are slowly showing scientists and other medical people just how well we are standing up to the virus. Giving us another dose soon , it’s hoped that this will add extra protection. This virus is an unknown quantity so we are all learning as we fight through it.
Be warned. Being vaccinated does NOT always prevent death but certainly helps fight it. Wearing masks is advisable but when we meet friends and family we tend to remove them. All we can do is to steer clear of crowds, wash our hands, keep our distance and keep our bodies healthy and fit so that should we catch covid, we should be able to fight it.

It seems some people don't mind feeling awful and having tubes inserted in various orifices. They must like hospital food and not care that they are taking up beds that could be used for cancer/heart attack/stroke victims.

All that I don't mind.

What I do mind is asymptomatic Covid carriers coughing and sneezing over me, my family, friends and vulnerable children.

WHAT are they thinking??
.

And, so, we might need a covid booster. I have a flu jab every year, and have had over 40 now, because we all know that the flu virus changes each year. I don't mind having a flu booster, why should I bother about a Covid booster?

I know symptoms are not as bad as previously but it is still being transmitted and cases are NOT coming down, so what am I missing?

I think this headline in one of the Spanish Newspapers from July 21st says it all :

I've heard we'll not be receiving a booster vaccine, only the vulnerable will get one.

Mondo. I don't think any of us enjoy being sprayed with other peoples snot and saliva, but the thing is, the concept of asymptomatic carriers has never been proven. If it has, i would like to see the evidence.

I also thought the history of the evolution of viruses worked in such a way that as the virus mutates, it may spread more easily (it does this to survive) but as a result, the danger level of it goes down. With that in mind, is a 3 monthly (because that is what it will end up being) booster really necessary? You can make up your own choice on that one.

AndyC - Didn't the first round of vaccines start out by only being given to the vulnerable?

I am not qualified to check all the scientific results of tests on Covid. I am also not qualified to check the details of the tests that say a Boeing 747 can fly. I take the advice of experts. Those who have been trained in such things. And, for me, if the experts are a reliable source I will take their word for it and take the vaccine (or fly in a plane)

Here the World Health Organisation states.

"Yes, infected people can transmit the virus both when they have symptoms and when they don’t have symptoms. This is why it is important that all people who are infected are identified by testing, isolated, and, depending on the severity of their disease, receive medical care. Even people confirmed to have COVID-19 but who do not have symptoms should be isolated to limit their contact with others. These measures break chains of transmission"

But what do they know eh? They are only the best in the world.

I am sure if you ask them they will send you the info you require, but as far as I am concerned I will trust the experts.
