Common name: Red palm weevil
Scientific name: Rhynphorus ferrugineus

Hope you haven't got any phoenix palms. If you have or the neighbours, odds are the tree is infested.

We don’t have any palms and this thing crawled out of the drain earlier today. I’ve acted on the previous advice from Adey, thanks for your input
