It depends on the bank and the card issuer some are more expensive than others! Usually there is on charge per transaction so if that is the case worth taking the maximum amount out if you are going to spend it.

I always use the Bankiter branch next to Edina's bar and grill ( then go and have a fry up ) . I have used this machine to withdraw money on various cards including my Transfer wise card and have so far have never been charged . I make a point not to use any Sabadell ATM's - they seem to charge you for breathing . And remember always go for the Euro option when withdrawing money or paying for items . Merry Xmas and a healthy and happy New Year to all .

Sabadell like any bank card will not charge if you use your own bank to withdraw money. Anytime you use an ATM it will say " you will not be charged for this transaction" if you are not going to be charged. If it doesn't say that we don't use it and just eject the card and go elsewhere.

I have a caxtonfx card which i have used for years for atm withdrawals, avoiding sabadell as they have been charging for a while. This week i tried BBVA, la caixa, caja rural and all are now charging around 2 euros..
I have written to caxton to advise them of this, plus the fact that euroexchange exchange rate is the same now as loading the card, so they will losing a lot of business. Unless they can persuade the banks not to charge, then i wont be using this service anytime soon.

It depends on the cash machine also. Sabadell Bank probably have the most number of cash machines available in this area.
There are also Telebanco and Servired machines that you can use so it depends on which of these services your bank uses.
I believe that there is a charge when you use a Telebanco machine but no charge if you use Servired.
As someone has already said the machine will tell you about any commission to be charged so you can either cancel the transaction or continue.

We used to use our Nationwide card for our travelling but stopped when they started charging. We use our Spanish bank card when we go to Spain (and use no charge ATM's) but now when we go to other countries we use whatever is the best at the time, as we have a few cards. Most do charge a fee plus exchange rate for withdrawing foreign currency.
This may help, if you haven't seen it already:
