Bank charges

Morning all have just paid 6 euro commission to transfer between two Sabadell accounts at the same branch last week I was charged 35 euros charges, me and my partner both hold accounts there but only she is a resident at the moment so will be changing once my residency has been sorted, they never charged the 6 euro last month so just a warning.

So, change banks, or if you are happy with those fees stay as you are. There’s tons of stuff about bank fees on here including many on the bank you use. Do a search, read them, there are ways to avoid paying any fees at all, hopefully you will find what info you want.

Yes thanks, can't change until I become resident as I need to show 3 months pension then i will change.

Puzzled by that, I visited a bank while on a holiday, non resident, opened my account with just a passport and an NIE number, no proof of anything else. But fair enough. Good luck with it

Think the reason he is staying put as he has to show the pension in an account for the residency.

you now have to prove a set amount is going into the account monthly. My daughter opened a bank account this week, the equivalent of 800 euros had to be transferred into the account each month.
