Hi, I have had Bankia in Quesada for many years and I have recently deposited 700 Euros every month, taken out insurance through Bankia, used the card diligently, ie fulfilled everything they wanted. Bankia in Quesada has withdrawn more than 172 Euros lately and constantly promises to correct the mistake and pay back, but nothing has happened, they withdraw every month. Has now closed the account and advises everyone not to become customers of Bankia, completely impossible to deal with. Warning!
Try Cajamar Caja Rural instead, offices in Torrevieja and Guardamar.
Ask for a Wefferet account.

I read on an earlier post in this thread a charge of e6 per month for basic accounts. I thought the charge for a basic account was capped at e3 per month. Has it changed? I am in the process of reviewing bank accounts and this is important in the decision I make. Thanks

I’ve had a bank account with Bankia since September 2019, I paid a lump sum in when I bought my property, I also put enough money in to cover my residencia requirements and living costs for six months, I have never paid a monthly amount in but top up when I need to and the exchange rate is to my liking.
I was told when I opened the account that as long as I had 800€ Plus I wouldn’t pay charges, and I have never paid any bank charges to date. At the moment I don’t have a problem with Bankia.

I get free banking with Bankia by depositing €700 a month and having a credit card that I use at least twice a month. Don't think that it would work for people who are not resident full time. They even send me a message now and again to point out how much I have saved. They are in the process of changing yet again and merging with Caixa. We will have to see what happens then.

Hi, there I am in the same position as billogs have been with them since they were Caja Murcia. I think the problem is that maybe you are not a resident and therefore don't qualify for the money-back or as they like to tell me how much I have saved. Cannot fault them been good to me for over 15 years in good and bad times so I personally would recommend the Dolores branch.
They may take our lives but they will never take our FREEDOM

They started that about April time last year. They charge 14 euro a month if you pay less than the 700 euro a month in and that has to be every month, not just a casual one off.

Despite them saying they wouldn't make any charges if you paid in a regular sum, when the government made them offer a "basic" account at no more than 6 euro a month they started charging everyone that.

Hi marcliff I have a credit card with the bankia they have also charged us with 6 euros when I challenged the bank was told if I use my credit card 2 times a month I will not pay the 6 euros.
