Be careful on the roads after this rain

Just driving from quesada towards torrevieja and saw someone spinned out at the roundabout. Was passing the next roundabout and witnessed someone else do the same thing. Obviously very greasy and slippy so take it easy.

Half of them don't know how to drive at the best of times, they've got no chance in the rain.

The one I witnessed didn't appear to be going quick at all. Just a bit like a ice rink right now.

Yeah with all that rubber from tyres it will be just like an ice rink

The spanish are utterly unprepared for rain in any volume. Wonder if climate change will force them to get with the programme ?

Possibly, but the main cause of greasy roads is tyre residue, oil & diesel droppings, that get loosened and form a film on top of surface water. Seeing as we don't get rain very often the build-up of contaminants is probably a lot higher than in wetter climes.

Yes just the same with snow in UK totally unprepared

When next in a car park just take a look at some of the slicks some are driving around on …!!
