Benimar post

Benimar post

Postby Steve4878 » Mon Aug 12, 2019 10:17 pm

Does anyone know how to raise a complaint with the postal service HQ.
Arrived 6 weeks ago and still no post, despite NHS and the UK tax office sending official documents twice.
Went to Rojales PO and sent to Quesada PO, who in turn sent us to Benijofar Council post room. None helpful and nobody taking any responsibility.

To my knowledge I have yet to see a door to door postman as we have in the UK,there are postmen and women on scooters that deliver large letters, parcels, letters that require signatures when passed over, plus registered letters.I think you will have a long wait for your mail to be delivered to your home, thats why people have PO boxes in the post rooms or the Carreos office, possibly you have one, then you can complain to the one that you use.

We lived in Rojales Hills for about 3 weeks before we realised we didn't get the post delivered A)..to the door & B) as we had no communty post boxes we had to go Quesada Correos to pick mail up...please keep checking as we heard they only hold onto undelivered mail a certain time..hence we had a mail box in the post room at Benijofar
Good luck

I have had no post for over a year and check at the post office in Catral every week but get the same answer "nothing for you " every week. I also have a mailbox at the post office, always empty
When I went this morning I was told that the Postman was on holiday so I asked what about the other weeks of the year, I just got a blank look and shrugged shoulders
I have now told people that they will have to send my mail to an address in Torrevieva where I do get mail

Good luck with that. Banging your head against a brick wall comes to mind. Had a Xmas card come 2 months before the following one !. What makes it even better is the Benijofar office is only open 45 mins per day....yes that's right 45 mins. If you work, you've had it.

In Spain you kearn patience. Do not expect post to arrive from the UK within the week, more like a month, the one we always give us the letter posted December 2017 arrived January 2019! When we asked our doctor us hospital appointments could be sent via mail, as wecoped better with written things than the telephone, the doctor said “You could be dead before the appointment arrives”. The postal system is notoriously bad in ?Spain.

If you have lived here for any amount of time you will realise that most but not all of the postal workers go on holiday in August in September your mail will arrive its normal.

As someone said welcome to Spain that's how it is nothing you can do about it and don't bother complaining as then you definitely won't get any mail.Just make a friend of the local postie give them a drink or put them on wages and you will get results. We get mail from two previous addresses as the local postie knows us and brings it round.Just play the game and don't upset them .
