Bin tax renewalnotice

Just recieved the annual reminder re. Car tax & "bin tax suma".

Car is still the same of course but the bin collection charge has increased from €78.36 to €126.69, increase of 60%. I know there's currently a cost of living crisis, but what's going on?

Maybe the cost of those airborne "hand grenades" has gone up sharply.

I believe the bin tax charge was frozen during the pandemic and they are now recouping the increases that would have applied over the last few years.

I was quite shocked when I saw the increase.....many out there struggling to pay bills now with everything costing more...I don't mind an increase of 10 per cent but this is a lot!

It’s probably to cover the cost of the the four separate bins we are all going to be given to separate waste

I'm in the Campo and we don't have collection just groups of bins dotted around and although all the bins have recently been renewed the annual charge has changed little in 7 years..... it is now €23.39.

They on there way round with the individual recycling bins out in the campo,
