bricklaying mortar

bricklaying mortar

Postby richardlionheart » Wed Jun 12, 2019 4:23 pm

I want to build some brick planters, out of limestone rocks,(of which Spain has a vast unlimited supply). So, whats the shorter spanish for "a bag of dry premixed dry sand and cement mortar mix suitable for bricklaying" other than google translates horrendous suggestion

"Una bolsa de mezcla premezclada de mortero de arena seca y cemento adecuada para la albañilería"

Must be an easier way to say it.

Whats the best stuff to ask for, who has it?

Bought a bag from there last week. AplicaSec Gris 7.5 @ 1.50 euros for a 25kg bag. Cheap as chips.
Told him what I was looking for in English & he answered me in English.

COLA is an adhesive! You can buy internal and external, cola not normally used for block work.

Yes, spot on Jordy gets the Silver Cup. Preyser (which is in fact what we would call a Builders Merchant in the UK), and despite the fact its says "AUTOMOTIVE REPARCION" on the building, is the place. AplicaSec Gris is the stuff they use to build with, it was €3 for two 25kg bags, as Jordy said, cheap as chips. The guy sort of spoke English, at least his English was better than my Spanish......
