Talking of insurance. I have just received a letter from Liberty insurance in Quesada informing me of 'improvements' to insurance policies. These are legal changes to insurance regulations which must be adopted by all companies. The two main nuggets are:

"The notice period in which the policy holder must communicate to the company that they do not wish to renew their policy has been reduced to one month". This is an improvement but not much good if you don't get a renewed quote in time to act on it.

The other point is that at renewal the company will pose questions in order to evaluate the risk and you must answer them truthfully. !!!!???? Not sure what is new there. You must also notify the company of any changes during the course of the policy. However for life policies there is no such obligation.

I agree very good and always let us know the renewal price in time to cancel if we wanted which is quite unusual in Spain good cover and discounts if you take more than one policy
