CaixaBank experience

CaixaBank experience

Postby Luckjockey » Sat Apr 13, 2024 9:24 am

Hi. I’ve experienced some absolutely shocking customer service with this bank. I completely get that we are not in the UK, but attitudes from this bank are off the scale when it comes to customer interaction. I’m interested to know if anyone else out there has had any unwanted customer services also. I’m happy to share but don’t want to influence opinions at this point. Please let the public forum know……

I have banked with them for many years. Whenever I have needed any assistance my personal advisor has been very nice and helpful.

I banked with them because they took over Bankia. Absolutely appalling customer service and rude staff and was given conflicting advice. Closed the account and now have a simple Wise account that pays my DDs and is great.
Happy in the sun.

Was with them for quite a few years until they cranked up the bank charges. I also experienced conflicting and inaccurate information, as well as poor customer service. Needless to say, I wasn't going to be overcharged for crap service, so i binned them off. There's only one bank/building society that i could mention in a positive light and that's Nationwide. Shame they haven't got a subsidiary over here as they'd clean up.

CaixaBank and Sabadell appear to be in a competition for the dubious honour of being considered the worst bank in Europe. I have been a Barclays Bank UK customer for more than 50 years so 10 years ago when I moved to Spain I opened an account with the Barclays Bank Spain (now CaixaBank, Quesada). You should take your complaint to the Bank of Spain Ombudsman though initially CaixaBank will insist that you allow then to attempt to resolve the matter first, then delaying tactics and extremely poor staff training will frustrate and eventually you will have to follow the BoS Ombudsman Procedure.
https://clientebancario.bde.es/pcb/en/m ... izarrecl/# is the link and if you have a serious complaint, Good Luck !

No real complaints about Caxia here although it has to be said that things did go downhill somewhat after the Bankia takeover.

Unfortunately customer experience can vary wildly from branch to branch so you could well be better off switching branches than actual banks.

Try Formentara de Segura.

We have been with them for years sine Bankia.

Never had a problem with them until last week. They sent me a message saying our card would soon expire despite having two years left on it. We went to Caixa bank in Rojales and they were great and sorted it all out quickly.

So far so good for us.

We’ve been “Tied” into them since we bought our place in Quesada, we find them helpful and sometimes really difficult!!
The first point of contact on the desk is awful to be honest, she has no customer service or people skills at all, once you get past her things are usually good though.
We will be changing banks as soon as our “3 year service has plan” has matured.
