Cars!!

Hi just heard that TWO people can travel in a car so long as the passenger sits in the back of the car all other lockdown rules stay the same as before. I've heard this twice on Spectrum radio station. YIPEE!!

Not strictly true, the N332 site published this yesterday & it was very unclear as to who & when this applies to.The N332 then clarified the situation stating it only applies to taxis & private hire vehicles, the general public can only carry a passenger in the special circumstances laid down in the "state of alarm" documentation, to do so otherwise WILL incour a heavy fine.
Radio stations, press etc really should get their facts right before advising the public what they can & can't do!!!!!!

Hi...I think your "Yipee" is a bit previous...N332 clarified the situation and said you cannot travel 2 in a car unless you meet specific criteria. The rational is on this forum...

I've warned before about taking everything on N332 as gospel.

Hi A.N. Other...so what are you saying concerning this specific...that you can take people or that you cannot take people (one). Incidently ...I E..Mailed Big FM twice to get them to remove the broadcast which said you could take people ...it took them two days but as I understand Now they have removed the incorrect message.

Let's clarify this;
"Transporte Particular" = The transport in your own vehicle.
If you read this phrase carefully; "En los que DEBA viajar mas de una persona"
There MUST be a reasonable reason to take a second person in your vehicle, and this must be included in article 7.
For example; Two family members have an appointment in the hospital, work in the same place or area, or they need to attend to any place both together, and the presence of both it is strictly necessary.
We can not apply this new measure to take our wife or husband to do the shopping and wait in the parking, please common sense.
The Alarm State has been declared therefore we must remain at home and only get out when it is really necessary.
This modification has been done to facilitate that two people can travel in the same vehicle instead of two-vehicle when it is really necessary not for leisure.

Hi hobnob it's not Big FM it's Spectrum radio also our Spanish friends have just rung Orihuela police station and they have confirmed it. We are going out soon so will let you know,it was actually stated by the government at the same time that they said lockdown was extended til April 11th and all of the rules stay the same Apart from the car rule.

Don't forget to do the rounds of all the shops and stop off at the beach for an ice cream to end it all off. Have fun xx
