Where can i buy green chillies?
I was in Carrefour today but they never had any and most supermarkets only sell the small green peppers.
Do any of the markets sell them? Seem really hard to get hold of.
Consum have the mixed pack but only want green tia

Is it a seasonal thing? When I want to make chilli jam around Christmas time I can never buy red chillies, there’s only ever green available.
I tried growing them this year, the insects loved them!

Exactly and I'm not the most green fingered person.
I've been on Google looking for substitutes and there are many but still can't get them over here.
Banana Pepper was the first never even heard of one.
The small green peppers that most supermarkets sell in bags are they spicy?
I could possibly use those if they were
Thanks all for your replies much appreciated.
I shall be taking a trip to Zoco Market on Sunday

No. They're padrons. They have next to no heat. The Spanish just don't do spicy. I grow chillies, but I haven't got any green ones at the moment. Green chillies are just unripe chillies. The green chillies that are used in Indian recipes are usually one of the many varieties of Cayenne peppers. Thai recipes usually call for green Birds eye type chillies. The only hot chillies that I've ever seen, for sale over here, are the mixed bag that Consum sell. They're imported from the Netherlands I think.
If you can't find them at Zoco, you can get them online, delivered. I've ordered spices from this company before and they're very good. https://baazwsh.com/collections/fresh-v ... mirch-250g
