Christmas eve

Christmas eve

Postby kjellv » Wed Nov 20, 2013 1:06 pm

Hi

I’m new to celebrating x-mas in Spain in own house. What’s common, to stay home and eat and drink, to go out for the same or a mixture of both?

For the last 3 years we have let the New Year in at The Happy Garden...set menu last year was 30euros if I remember rightly...excellent 6/7 courses, choice of drinks included...free raffle prizes, music.dancing, fireworks..all in all a brilliant night and within walking distance...
Very cosmopolitan night with German,Dutch,French ..even a bloke in a kilt last year...
Dont know what the price is this year....but booked and left a deposit back in October..can't wait!

The Happy Garden is in Lo Pepin, just off the Lemon Tree Road - You can see it from the road - Come out of the Hotel Laguna end of Dona Pepa at the 'posh' new roundabout and turn left and it's the second road on the left after that.

Happy Garden - Ciudad Quesada
Lo Pepin
Ciudad Quesada

Telephone: 966 719 610

If you click on this link, you can see an interactive street-view of the Happy Garden (wait a few moments after the map comes up and you can see the restaurant and use your mouse to move around and see the location) - You may recognise the restaurant from driving down the lemon tree road.https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Plaza+ ... 05,,0,1.13

I will put it into our list of Quesada restaurants soon.

Hope this helps,

Jan

I Kjellv,
We've never had a bad meal there. We've taken family and friends and they have all been impressed.
I think it's one of the few places that are busy most nights..and afternoons for that!
The menu is Chinese and Thai...and if your celebrating they'll bring you the large boat of fruit and icecream for the table to share....with a sparkler on top!

I'm so easily l pleased!!
