I used Google:- After care homes and over 80s The plan is to offer a booster dose to the rest of the population, moving progressively down from oldest to youngest, with over-60s next in line.

Are you in a residential home?
Yes - you will be being called now for a second booster
No - you will be on one of the other lists

Are you in the at risk group with radio/chemo therapy or had a transplant?
Yes - you will be called in the next week
No - you will be on one of the other lists

Are you a health worker employed in front line work?
Yes - you will be called in the next week along with the at risk groups
No - you will be on one of the other lists

Are you over 80 years of age?
Yes - you will be called for the second booster at your health centre once the above have been called.
No - you will be on one of the other lists.

Once the over 80 age group have been offered the second booster, the next stage will be the 75 to 79 age group. The next tranche will be 70 to 74, then 65 to 69 and finally 60 to 64. Each group will only be called once the group ahead of them have been offered the vaccine.

Are you under 60?
Yes - you will not be offered the 2nd booster vaccine unless the situation changes as the Spanish Health Authorities have stated you still have enough immunity to prevent serious problems.

Are you in any age group but haven't had the full course of vaccines as yet (initial 2 and 1st booster)?
Yes - you can arrange a vaccine at any time with your health centre
No - you will be on one of the lists above.

The flu vaccine will be made available as from October 3rd which is very early for Spain. If you are called after that date you will be offered both vaccines at the same time.

If you have received one of the accredited vaccines in another country, you can have this added to your record in Spain by presenting the vaccine certificate to your health centre.

The second booster will not, as yet, form part of the EU covid certificate as not all groups will be offered it therefore only the full regime of the first 2 plus the first booster will be necessary if required.

My husband has had 4 vaccinations to date and I’ve had 3. We are going into Boots shortly to have our autumn boost. I can understand why people are keen to know when they’ll get their next jab. I hope it’s soon. It’s so easy to think covid has gone but it hasn’t.

Post script.
My husband had his 4th booster in April of this year and as 6 months has passed, he’s eligible for another one. If you had your booster in the U.K. it may well be six months before you are called in Spain so no problem. Just a thought.

I'm n a trip back to Edinburgh at the moment, and there's a walk-in vaccination centre available in the market area underneath Waverley train station. There's probably similar in other towns across UK. They would have been very happy there to give me one (the jab, I mean), but the issue when you're a Spanish resident with no current nhs record is you wouldn't be able to prove you've had it. Was impressed it's so readily available here.

Why 4 boosters needed?
When in marcliffs post it says after your first booster the spanish health authorities state you have enough immunity with the first,to prevent serious problems,
I think a lot of people think if it's free am having it without thinking of the burdening cost to the already underfunded NHS,this covid,
Has certainly knocked a lot of people with life threatening illnesses pre covid back for there operations,
Covid hardly mentioned in the news now!
But still Long even longer NHS waiting times,
And try and get a face to face appointment with a uk doctor,
Its Gas& Energy prices
Just my own personal opinion,
Gustav
