How would you know? Does the mother have to be poodle? Just a thought. Won't it be 50/50 anyway?

I see they are advertised as being Purebred how can a crossbreed mongrel be purebred when it is a mix of other breeds

You are correct Fred. They are not a recognised purebred dog. You would appear to have to tread carefully when acquiring one as p.edwards6 says in case they shed/moult. You would have to delve into the breeding lines of both parents. I would think you would want to be a professional to know exactly what you were looking for. Unfortunately bringing one in from the UK would mean the pup would have to be approx 4 months of age because of rabies vaccines, which is a bit on the mature side to make your own mark on any puppy as they have formed habits good or bad at that stage. 6 to 8 weeks is the general recommended age. I wonder would a strong curly coat indicate more of a poodle although it will shed hair - because it simply has to in the laws of nature - at least it doesn''t fall everywhere.

My sweetheart said she loves sausage dogs,, Dachshund I think they are called she’s been watching a program about chateaux renovations and they have one..
So I said of course you can have one as long as I can have a 15 metre boa constrictor. .
Well a big snake wants something substantial to eat.. hot dowg..
She said I’m horrible.. mmm probably right. We ain’t getting no dog…

Be careful what you wish for. As soon as the dog has been devoured I am sure you would be next on the menu!!

I’m pretty sure my sweetheart would feed me to the Boa inch by inch, you should see her puppy eyes when she looks at a sausage dog… words like: awwwwe and oh cute baby and there’s little squeals that emit profusely…
no we are not having a dog.. not now.. not ever….

Very strange for a dog to attack like that. They were used for badger hunting so maybe the woman was making strange noises "with the drink on her" and sounded like a badger so the dog went in for the attack!!!
