Community Rules re dogs

Community Rules re dogs

Postby Spikeyhair » Wed May 12, 2021 7:38 pm

Hi all,

Can anyone please tell me how many dogs are allowed per household living within a Community.
This would be whether owned or fostered or both at the same time.

Also I would ask what the legal aspect would be if living within a Community & looking after dogs for a fee, similar to kennels but without registering or following the regulations.

BTW I am a dog lover and have had two rescues.

Regards,

I think you will find that depends on individual community rules, best ask administrator or President.

If somebody is looking after dogs for a fee that's working so if their not paying their dues it's illegal.

And most communities ban running a business from your home, illegal or otherwise.

Not unless you get the person boarding the dogs, to tell anyone who asks " I'm only looking after them for friends" simples!!!!!

True. However, the community can draw up rules to restrict the movement of dogs within communal areas (100% agreement required).

Spanish law, which overides communal rules, allows the keeping of pets but is against unleashed animals within communal areas (this includes cats).

If you are " looking after dogs for a fee, similar to kennels" then it's considered a business and is prohibited.
We don't allow any animals of any kind in the pool area any dogs must be muzzled and on a lead when in the communal areas.

That's not what the poster asked, surely it is nothing to do with you?
