The app uses low power Bluetooth to send out a 'handshake' signal to other mobile devices nearby. If someone tests positive they have to click on a button in the app to tell the app they have tested positive. The app is then able to assess which 'handshakes' it received during the last 'x' days and will send out a warning to all the phones warning the owners they may have been in contacted with someone infected and should self isolate and get tested.

It is effectively a digital track and trace system, but relies on a decent uptake in the community of people downloading and enabling the app. For those of you who are worried - all the 'handshake' data is encrypted and no personal details are shared or are accessible. Hope this helps.

I understand all of that but my point is if someone has tested positive then why are they out on the street and not at home isolating ?
If somebody is sensible enough to identify themselves on the app as being infected surely they’re sensible enough to go into quarantine?

Benijofar has risen by 2 but Almoradi now showing 98 new cases which is almost 20 up on the previous day. Almoradi is one of the towns at risk of lockdown at today's Valencia Health authority meeting.

Los Montesinos has risen by 2 up to 11 in the last 14 days.

So, yes, it's back. Be careful folks

Thanks Marcliff, could you please tell me the site you are getting this info from as the coronavirus.san.gva.es site that gave that info on local ares does not appear to be functioning any more since the past week or so.

Really it's not that difficult to understand, You are out and about today and meet Person X.
Tomorrow Person X tests positive and the app lets you know you have been a close contact.

A person may have been out with friends not aware they have the virus until symptoms appear a few days later. Which is why the App is good. It will warn everyone who has been in contact with them. For this to work, people then need to isolate for the 14 days from contact.
As for the 2 deaths being from a care home. One death was on our Community in Doña Pepa & another one on my friends Community in Rojales.

The website is working for me:

http://coronavirus.san.gva.es/es/estadisticas

Rojales (of which C.Quesada is a part), has had a total of 89 cases since counting started, there are 24 active cases and there have been 2 deaths.

it say PCR+ doesnt say there is 24 active cases it says 24 people have tested positive, but if youve had a pcr and its positive for the antibody its counted aswell as positive and put on this list if you have it through the proper way at the medical center

Process is...
You feel poorly.
You have a test which is positive.
You are given a code to input to the app ( assuming you have it installed).
This code triggers the App to contact all others in your vicinity to tell them that 'someone ' near them has tested positive.
You receive a prompt from the app telling
you that you need to seek a test at that point. If you have a positive test, you will be given a code to put in the app and the process starts again.

The original infected person..will or should by this time be in isolation or being treated.

No names or locations are given..

1.To protect the people who are infected.
2. Nobody knows where they/you were infected as locations are not given.

You could have been in a supermarket/ petrol station/ bar bank.
It's not the premises that are infected,
Its US who are transmitting the virus by moving about.
