Covid in Quesada

People just don't get it. The virus is here to stay. There is no cure and probably never will be. A vaccine may come but mass vaccination is at least a year away and then may be required every year.
The only way to deal with this is to come into contact with it and get some natural immunity.
Yes its dangerous, but total avoidance will leave you more susceptible in the future and later strains may be worse.
If your healthy with no serious underlying issues there is nothing to fear.
For those more vulnerable, all you can do is pray for a vaccine and hope it works. Even then like flu there is no guarantee of not catching it.
All lockdown does is delay and as such slow hospital admissions, not get rid of the virus.
Its a sad state of affairs, but we do need to learn to live with it.
So far the only thing able to fight covid 19 is the human body itself. This unfortunately is the best weapon. The only way the body and its B and T cells can do that is with exposure to the virus.

I would agree with you on these points. I also agree that lockdowns are not the answer.

And to jamiep - I'm afraid these may well be 'normal times' now.

Our remaining lifetimes have changed - significantly.

IMHO.

I agree saying that you are more likely to be killed by an electric car that contract covid is very unhelpful

Unfortunately I've just heard that a care home in Rojales have all been tested for corona as a member of staff was tested positive.

Yes, Ive read about people who have received the test, did nothing whatsoever, sent it back and the results came back as positive, maybe that's what they mean?

The virus is here to stay but a vaccine is on its way, in fact the nhs and gps have told to get ready

I don’t think the current state of affairs will be the norm, the vaccine will solve that
The rest of our lives will be as they were, as it was 100 years ago after the spanish flu pandemic
Lockdowns work, don’t work ?
As we’re not virologists or epidemiologists it’s best we don’t guess, we’re just not knowledgeable enough to do so
