It is confirmed that the covid passport will be necessary to enter the following:

Music festivals, events and celebrations with more than 500 attendees.
To visit patients in hospital and residential homes...

Any news on whether 3rd Country COVID Passports will be accepted?

So you need a pass to visit someone in hospital, does that mean you need one to be a patient?

I expect the pass will be here to stay beyond the 30th.

EU Directive from 25th November:
  • Member States should accept non-EU vaccination and recovery certificates deemed equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

Whether the app issued to establishments will be able to read it I have no idea.

It's probably a stupid question but, for those of us vaccinated in England, does this mean the NHS Covid travel passport, which consists of 3 QR codes for us (one for each jab), or the NHS Covid Domestic passort, which is just one QR code?

In any case, I think I'll make sure we carry both about and have them on our phones just in case!

A question for the excellent Marcliffe please can you advise if the covid PCR 72 hrs and Antigen test 48hrs is acceptable in place of the passport. We have a visitor who has not yet had his second jab.

No wish to step into Marcliff's esteemed position, but my understanding was that it was fully vaccinated only for December (and possibly extended) and that PCR tests to enter were not acceptable under this new legislation.

You still have to print off the EU covid passport. There are 3 sections on there, one for full vaccination, one for recent covid test and one for recovery from the virus.

However, how many places around here actually has a capacity of more than 50 indoors?

Vaccination certificate : this document allows proving that the person has received one or two doses of one of the doses against the coronavirus approved by the European Union, valid for one year after the vaccination date.
- Diagnostic certificate : guarantees that the user has a negative result of a Covid-19 diagnostic test. If it is a PCR, the result will be valid for 72 hours; if it were an antigen test, it would be reduced to 48 hours.
- Recovery certificate : certifies that the person has overcome the coronavirus disease, confirmed through a positive PCR test. The validity of this document from the end of the isolation period is six months.

The Torrevieja health area which includes Torrevieja, Rojales, Benijofar, Guardamar, Pilar de la Horadada, San Fulgencio (includes La Marina Urb), Formentera del Segura, San Miguel de Salinas, Orihuela Costa and Los Montesinos, is one of the worst areas for uptake of the vaccine.

18% of those in the Torrevieja area have not been vaccinated which is some 10% more than the national average. The lack of vaccines apply to all age groups and over 1,000 over 80s haven't had a jab and over 2,000 in the 70 to 79 age range.

The reason is put down to the high number of foreigners in the area who either don't know where to go, where to make an appointment or are wary of the language barrier. The number of cases in this health area is now over 200 per 100,000 .

The introduction of the Covid passport has caused an uptake in the number of people coming forward for their first vaccine. Perhaps anyone reading this forum, and others, may now contact their health centre to get a vaccine and avoid having to have a PCR or antigen test a couple of days before they want to go out.

Our gratitude again - sorry to be dense but does this mean he has to download the EU covid passport from an official site, take the test and complete the section for diagnostic certificate and showing this will gain him entry to the La Zenia Shopping centreetc which is his favourite place?
