Have you been to your local medical centre armed with all the paper work & asked for a temp SIP?? If, like us you are under retirement age, not in "the system" & running with Private medical insurance that's what we had to do. We took TIE, Passport, Private medical insurance card & up to date padron & we were issued with the temp SIP in minutes, that was in the Salud in Guardamar.

Yes. 4 of us. Me, my wife, and two friends. We showed all the documents you mention. Only one got a SIP card and they said that was because he was already in the system, after previously using a UK EHIC card, at Torrevieja hospital..

The Minister for Health has said the J&J vaccine will be administered similar to the other vaccines i.e start at over 80s and on down.
Minister Darias said
Regarding the vaccine from the pharmaceutical company Janssen, she said that “these vaccines arrive early Tuesday and in principle they will be applied in accordance with the latest update of the vaccination strategy in the same typology as the RNA ones; that is, we will be converging from 80 years on down"

I expect younger women will not receive this vaccine similar to AZ due to reported clotting in younger women in USA.

We have a second home in Spain but are UK residents. While in Spain we always renewed our padron and got temporary SIP cards. The last ones expired in Dec-2020.

Yesterday I received a text message on my Spanish phone informing me that I have an appointment for my first AZ jab in Torrevieja on 14th April and another appointment for my second jab on June 29th! This must obviously be in error. I've already had both Pfizer jabs here in the UK anyway. I've sent a message via the Generalitat Valenciana web site asking for my appointments to be cancelled. Hoepfully someone else will be allocated those slots instead.

By the way, I'm only in my early 60's but it's good to know the roll-out seems to be gaining pace in Spain!

Hi I have received an SMS to attend for AZ vaccine on Weds in Torrivieja. I had another SMS in January giving me a temporay SIP number. I am below retirement age, have Residencia and Private Health Insurance. I am still puzzled as to whether I need a card having read all through this thread, with some posters having visited their Health Centre and come away SIP cardless.

Anyone out there attended for jab in similar circumstances?
