And the hoopoes feed on processionary moths as part of their diet, love em!

One sits on the chimney of the house next to me and "hoopoes" away for ages
not as nervous as the birds that come in to the garden to feed

As has already been said there are Hoopies and Cuckoos around at the moment and I hear then quite often in the forest area of El Molar. I get to see them much as they tend to fly if approached. I have my own cuckoo though which lives in my clock

Uwr used to have a lot of these around where we live but don't see hardly any now. We do have quite a few parrotkeets type birds now though. Some live in a palm tree opposite my parents house, make a right noise. Nice though.
