I'm starting to get a bit wary of these figures coming out in the press conferences.
The Spanish Health Minister stated, at just after 17:00 today
Sanidad notifica 35 muertos la última semana, ninguno en las últimas 24 horas. EL número total de fallecidos desde el inicio de la pandemia se mantiene en 27.127

Which is:
Health reports 35 deaths in the last week, none in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic remains at 27,127

Then, at 18:00 ish
The Government of Castilla-La Mancha, through the General Directorate of Public Health, has confirmed in the last 24 hours five deaths in Castilla-La Mancha from coronavirus.

Then, going back a bit at 15;30
The Principality of Asturias has registered three deaths from coronavirus this Sunday

So they've either come up with a different way of counting and saying none died or there have been 8 deaths in two of the regions.

Yours,

You have got such a grip on these press conferences & announcements Marcliffe and explain it to us like a pro.....if you're confused ,there is little hope for the rest of us.

There is an interesting take on community pools in this article from Spanish Property Insight as to whether they come under the regulations or not.

We don't have a lifeguard in our community. We all have a key to come and go. I wonder about the app for making an appointment. Can it be abused. Marcliff have you been issued with a code for each individual property or how do you stop one property hogging all the slots for the day.

I passed my friendsurbanisation pool today and there was a sign up saying as they would have to provide a person to man this new rule and disinfect the area 3 times a day, they have decided not to open the pool until the Government say pools can be used without any of this disinfecting and limited number of people at a time as it would cost too much money to employ somebody etc.

Don't know if the app could be abused as I haven't been able to install it properly.
However, our pools cover such a large area that it would take one huge household to hog all the slots for the day.
I notice on one bit of it, which I can't seem to be able to use, the slots have a certain percentage marked out by time and you can only click on one of those time slots a day (you have to log in with NIE and property number). It also has a maximum number allowed in any of the time slots (no, I can't see how long the time slots are).
(I think, if I could work out how to use it I'd be able to answer you better.)

And there is a rider to the instructions that it will be monitored and, if it is not working properly, they will either have to employ someone to monitor it or close the pools until this is all over.

Still, our administrators and committee have come up with a way to let us start using them again so fair do's to them. If people do start tearing the backside out of it they'll be the losers as well.

Thanks Chrisdee and Marcliff. It will be interesting to see how it all works with the app when you get it up and running. I am sure all communities will be using the same app. What bothered me was I read that whatever is introduced now for pools and beaches stays for the summer season and will change again come September. Torrevieja is employing 100 extra people to implement the beach regs. Hopefully it won't be too awful. I just wish they would stop all this nonsense and let the people regulate themselves and stop all this rules and regulation palaver where the beach is concerned. People are out in the hot sun, the fresh air and in the sea so if that is not the safest place to be I don't know where is.

Anyway, back to daily updates.

The big boys were out at a press conference last night and the bringing forward of dates for phases was not mentioned (that I heard).
It was mainly about where and when money is going to be spent, praising the Spanish NHS for getting the figures so low, when kids can go back to schools and so on. Also dominated by Madrid and Central Barcelona being able to move to Phase 2 next Monday.

The extension of one week of the state of alarm looks like it will pass with various parties giving Sanchez their backing.

Will keep an ear out for any easing of restrictions in various phases.

Oh, and don't throw your used face masks or gloves on the ground, put them in a (preferably) lidded bin.
Alicante has agreed a fine of up to €3,000 if you just throw them away.

I have been told by Darren that the 1km limited for walking exercise no longer applies. Do you agree Marcliff, it's just that I thought I read that it had been retained in Phase 2, along with the time slots for the over 70's.
