Hopefully this would stop those who seem to be wanting to ‘steal a March’ on Marcliff, often so keen to do so that they feed information that ignores the facts.

Can we now get back to the situation in Spain and this area rather than discussing the merits and "motivation" that I may have.
Thank you.
The Valencian health authorities met yesterday to discuss the ongoing increase in cases in the Region. They will continue to meet today and speculation, according to the News 24 channel, will centre around a few key points:
The perimeter closure of the Valencia Community which ends this Friday will be extended.
Other towns, along with Elda and Petrer, will have restrictions on movement. This, however, was mooted at the last meeting but didn't happen so a case of wait and see.
The extension of the curfew by one hour meaning no movement from 2300 to 0600.
Home confinement is, according to Ximo Puig and the Min of Health Ana Barcelo, not being considered but the deputy president has said it is being looked at.
The above are only considerations and none have been announced as yet.
For those who are getting confused on what restrictions are in force and where, a group of university students have come up with a site which tells you the current restrictions. This is quecovid.es and you enter your postcode to get the current list of restrictions in your area. The restrictions do come up in Spanish only, I'm afraid.
Thank you.

Still only rumours on further restrictions. Puig was asked if the perimeter closure of the Valencia Region would be extended and he said that "everything indicates" that the perimeter closure should be extended for another week.
He wouldn't be drawn on other restrictions saying this was up to the health authorities once all the data was in and the current restrictions were fully evaluated.
As from this Friday, all travellers to the Canary Islands must show a negative PCR or antigen test done in the previous 72 hours.
At the inter-territorial council on Foreign Health meeting today, it was announced that all travellers from "at risk" countries will require a negative PCR test from November 23rd.
Unfortunately, the press release did not give a list of "at risk" countries however it does report that they will use the EU criteria for at risk countries which are those with more than 150 cases per 100,000 recorded in the last 14 days or with 4% of testing giving positive results.
Checking the ECDC site, they only list countries with more than 60 cases per 100,000 and a positive rate of above 3% and UK is on both of them.
If a list of "at risk" countries is published then I'll put it on here.

It appears it is Monica Oltra of Compromis, one of the ruling parties in the current Generalitat who is floating the rumours of longer curfew and closing the bars and restaurants earlier. Monica is in a bit of a sulk at the moment as relations have completely broken down between herself and Puig so she is kite flying and going on solo runs. She doesn't even appear to have support within her own party.

The requirement for a PCR test will also apply to Spanish citizens and residents returning from an at risk country.
The BOE setting this out will be published tomorrow and effective from November 23rd so will check on that in the morning.
