Thank you Marcliff and Bee, I'll look into the type of test they do. I also wondered if the test had to be carried out from the country in which you're departing. This will be tricky to do when in quaratine.

The Quiron hospital is offering the accepted PCR test for €125. Rapid antibody and antigen tests (which are not acceptable) are charged at €60.
IMED are charging €125 for the PCR and €40 for the others
TuMedico.es says they send a nurse to your home to do the PCR test for "from" €119 so it might be worth contacting them.
You really need to contact the clinic at La Siesta to find out which test they do. As the rules say a test within 72 hours of departure in either Spanish or English then I would assume the one at the Quiron hospital would be OK if the date of return travel is within 3 days.
La Siesta clinic talks about "rapid" testing for the special promotion price of €30 but also says it does PCR testing so you could enquire how much that one is.

You will need the Cert to get into whatever country you are going to if it is a requirement so yes you would have to do it from the country you are departing from. I don't know the turnaround time for the PCR test. You would need to ask that when you make the appointment as you will need "the Certificate" they talk about. If it is not a requirement for entry then you could presumably do the test when you land. Medical appointments are one of the exemptions under lockdown.

The DOGV published today simply extends the restrictions on entry and exit in the Valencia Region by one more week as from today.
No further measures have been adopted.

If already in UK flying back to Spain after 23 Nov, Boots chemist (only larger stores) do instore PCR £120 results via email within 48 hrs. You need to book online and add payment details but payment only taken when test has been carried out.

That is very helpful information Stella as branches of Boots are usually not too far from most people. Their turnaround time is impressive.

The President of the Valencia Region has stated that the perimeter closure will be extended until December 9th.
He said this will be announced in the next few hours and no entering or leaving the Valencian Community except for the valid reasons already laid down (work, assisting health centres, returning to main residence etc.)
This brings the date in line with the other restrictions which are in place until December 9th.
He did not say if the confinement of Elda and Petrer would continue but did say that by extending the perimeter closure, they could avoid having to close the hotel and restaurant businesses completely.

The 9th of Dec is not unexpected as it gets over the final Puente on 8th Dec and will allow them to then open the borders for Christmas.

So for the hard of thinking (me), am I right in that:- the test needs to be <72 hours of entry. The Boots test could take up to 48 hours to arrive, so you have a 24 hour window from result to arrival in Spain. So you would have a pretty small window of opportunity to book a test on a precise day 3 days ahead of travel to allow for the 48 hr turnaround and then have it in your hands ready for travel. If you were coming via a long ferry crossing from North Spain that can be 24 hrs +, the window is actually not small, but open outwards. You would have to rely on boots delivering in less than their promised timescale.
We looked at booking a PCR test in Denmark over the Christmas period for a return flight and they were all booked out already at the airport, let alone being able to accommodate a precise day as above.
