Thanks marianna13. Hopefully only one more to go when we will see what stays and what goes on 9th May next and what will become the new normal for the next 12 months. The vaccination is the key and then an annual booster dose. If you look back on this 67 page (so far)topic it is a real snapshot of an historic record of the past 12 months.

Don't be surprised if some restrictions are not lifted in the Comm Valenciana on 9th May as the Minister for Health, The President and the Vice President have been out dampening down expectations
Ana Barcelo the Health Minister in Generalitat:
"We have always had tools, because they are given to us by the 1986 health law, and when the state of alarm was not there we had resolutions to regulate restrictions. We were only forced to have judicial ratification. We have that within reach ”, recalled Barceló, who this Wednesday visited the expansion and reform works of the Emergency Room of the General Hospital of Alicante .
It should be remembered that the Community already established in October, and due to the escalation
of cases of the second wave, its own curfew to limit mobility at night, days before Pedro Sánchez decreed the state of alarm. Days later, the Superior Court of Justice of the Community endorsed these restrictions. In this sense, Barceló added, “we can continue issuing resolutions under the health law and at the same time request ratification from the courts. So far all the pronouncements to the resolutions have been positive and that tool is still available to the communities. However, Barceló has recognized that, although they have room to make decisions, if the situation of the pandemic becomes complicated "it is always more comfortable" to have the protection of a state of alarm.
The President
Asked also about the end of the state of alarm, on May 9, the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, said this Wednesday that "it is important that with the instruments we have we make the most appropriate decisions." The president also recalled that, before the state of alarm, "we already took measures that restricted freedom and the Supreme Court supported us."
The Vice President Monica Oltra:
Finally, the vice president, spokesperson for the Generalitat, Mónica Oltra, has rejected that the Government sets a date for the end of the state of alarm for May because "in these times long-term plans cannot be made" and if then it cannot be carried out it "generates more frustration and uncertainty." "It is more useful and honest to tell people that that we make decisions according to reality," she defended before journalists after Pedro Sánchez reaffirmed his intention not to extend the alarm beyond May 9.

The President Snr Puig has said they will announce next week what measures will go and what will remain when the State of Alarm ends on 9th May. He said three things will definitely end:The perimeter of the Comm Valenciana will open up, the nightly curfew will go and there will not be any numerical restrictions on people meeting up.

It seems Puig had changed his mind about lifting the curfew although in fairness the article does say he was thinking about it and it may be lifted. !!

Yes the mixed messages are now being put out there. All governments seem to do this to soften up the final announcements on what restrictions will and won't be lifted.
This from a spokesperson for Generalitat:
"Regarding the continuity of nighttime restrictions, sources from the Generalitat indicated after their intervention that the continuity of the curfew in the Valencian Community is "almost certain." What would then remain to be established would be the time of the curfew, currently set at 10 pm, as it could be delayed. And also its legal fit without the umbrella of the state of alarm"
Murcia currently start their curfew at midnight. Or to be precise 12h01.
Also there are 401,000 doses of the vaccine to be administered in the coming week so May will see the over 60s vaccinated. Those in the 60s up are considered the most vulnerable group for Covid. Once that group are vaccinated restrictions will begin to fall away rapidly.

The decision of the Tribunal Superior de Justicia TSJ of Comm Valenciana to extend the Curfew for 2 weeks:
The Council of the Generalitat/el Consell intended to extend the new measures until June, but they will conclude on May 24 -
The judges defended that "restricting" freedoms is different from a "complete deprivation" of them.
From this Sunday 9th May the free movement or personal mobility will be limited for 6 hours, from midnight to 6 in the morning for the next two weeks, until May 24th.
This is stated in the order of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, which supports the restrictions proposed by the Consell to counteract the end of the state of alarm and maintain a certain prudence in mobility and contacts in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, but they reduced the curfew by a week, since the Valencian executive intended to keep them throughout May.
The limits accepted by the judges include, along with the movement of people, the meeting of no more than 10 people and the capacity of 75% of the places of worship "as a consequence of the health crisis situation ." In its appeal to the Court the Ministry of Health alleges that there is still no collective immunity and that "abandoning all non-pharmacological measures" would lead to a "new epidemic wave and would force more drastic measures to contain it." Health asked, therefore, to maintain these measures until vaccinating those most vulnerable to covid, "the population over 50 years."
The Valencian court, compared to other counterparts who have rejected similar requests in their respective regions, such as the Basque Country, defends that "the restriction or limitation of fundamental freedoms and rights is not a suspension of them." They consider it to be a "nuance of cardinal significance", in supporting the limits requested by the Consell. "Keep in mind that it is only 6 hours and they are located in the range between 00:00 and 6:00", they specify in the Order. In addition, they say, of the "list of important exceptions" that the Order adds is similar to those that were contemplated during the state of alarm.
The limit to meetings of a dozen people is also classified by the Supreme Court in the "category of simple limitation of the right of assembly, never suspension of it." A distinction is even made between a "spatial" limitation such as that of the perimeter closure, and the "temporary" limitation that they do support as a time restriction on the movement of people.
The judges conclude the order by expressly calling attention to the need for a "suitable regulation" to avoid the "contradiction of criteria", which they exemplify with the legislative intervention that they have carried out in Germany and France "giving the necessary security to the health authorities to agree on measures limiting fundamental rights »
The health commission that makes up the Botànic decides this morning (Sat 8th May) other measures on hours and capacity of the hotel industry to extend the opening until 11.00 or 11.30 p.m., as well as on leisure, culture and sports, as advanced by Oltra. President Ximo Puig, for his part, values very positively the endorsement of the TSJ to maintain the restrictions. «We are opening a new stage, a new scenario, but we have to exercise all prudence and caution. We have to prevent possible new outbreaks "and therefore some restrictions will be maintained, although making them more flexible, he said.
Exceptions to the limits that take effect from Sunday, May 9 during curfew:
•Acquisition of medicines, health products and other essential goods.
•Assistance to health centers, services and establishments; and veterinary care for urgent reasons.
•Compliance with labour, professional, business, institutional or legal obligations.
•Return to the place of habitual residence after carrying out the activities outlined.
•Assistance and care for the elderly, minors, dependents, people with disabilities or especially vulnerable.
•Development of hunting activities linked to the control of the overabundance of species that can cause damage to ecosystems.
•Due to force majeure or situation of need.
•Any other activity of a similar nature duly accredited.
•Refuelling at gas stations when necessary to carry out the previously mentioned activities.

marcliff wrote:Now confirmed that the perimeter closure ends from Monday. You can now travel across the Valencia borders to another region.
The curfew will be from midnight to 0600 and hospitality venues may open until 23:30.
Outside areas can have 100% of capacity and inside increased to 50%.
Up to 10 people can now meet in both private and public areas. In private homes, the number is also 10 but the maximum of 2 families is maintained. The same exemptions for this remain in place:
Non-professional activities related to upbringing and care, such as the care and accompaniment of minors, elderly people, in a situation of dependency, with functional diversity or in a situation of special vulnerability.
• The alternate coexistence of sons and daughters with their parents or non-cohabiting parents between them.
• The foster care of minors in any of their types.
• The meeting of people with a marital or partner relationship who live in different addresses.
• People who live alone may be incorporated into another single unit of coexistence, provided that this unit of coexistence only incorporates a single person who lives alone.
Shops, cinemas, theatres, places of worship, zoos, parks etc are limited to 75% of capacity.
Physical and sporting activity can be among groups of 10 people indoors providing it does not exceed 50% of capacity but masks have to be worn.
Outdoor sports can be up to 20 people and masks do not have to be worn.
Swimming pools can open up to 75% of capacity. In all cases the social distancing of 1.5m should be maintained.
Wakes and funerals can be attended by a maximum of 50% capacity with no more than 50 people outdoors and 25 indoors.
In vehicles, the previous rules on mask wearing - more than one household - is maintained. People from the same household don't need to wear masks and all seats may be occupied.
Mask wearing, both indoors and out, remains and all over 6 years old must wear a mask. This includes entering and leaving beaches but no mask required when stationary. Masks must be worn in changing rooms except when actually showering.
You don't need to wear a mask when sunbathing on the beach or at swimming pools unless you cannot maintain the social distance of 1.5m or if there are more than one cohabiting group.
So there you go. Trips to IKEA back on for those who have had itchy feet and plenty of time to put a bedside cabinet together.
All the above takes place from midnight tomorrow until midnight on 24th May when the regional government may apply to continue with some or all of the restrictions.

Does the easing of restrictions now mean bars can have music?
