Is there only going to be a physical cert? I thought I’d read an app, so you just open that on your phone?

As you suggested Marcliff, I tried to use chrome but that just kept saying Site not private insecure so couldn’t proceed!

Thanks, I’ll have a read of that!

I use Chrome and all Spanish Government sites give that message unfortunately. I believe it's because they don't keep their Security Certs up-to-date.




If you click on Advanced then it will let you enter the site and warn you that it's not secure.

Applied for the EU Digital Travel Certificate using my smart phone.

No issues at all, certificate downloaded and was able to share to WhatsApp, Messenger or by email.

No problem printing off and both the paper version and telephone version have the scan bar for border control.

However, the certificate iyself is incorrect. It only shows me as having one of the 2 doses and only shows the date of the first dose, rendering it no good for travel until updated.

My certificate saga, I printed off a cert, BUT, it doesn’t look any different from the certificate you could print off from the site Marcliff gave us a couple of weeks back, I’d rather have something on my phone so will try on that, this has now became a mission!

It is different. For a start it says EU Covid-19 certificate not Valencia Region certificate. It's the Spanish one because it's not being rolled out EU wide until the 1st July but will be a similar format plus it has the barcode which can be read when you want to use it.

Can't help with the phone bit, though, as I'm a dinosaur and still use a Nokia 3310 which doesn't do things like that. MichaelC said he got it on his phone so you must be able to do it.

All seemed to go well with system. Showed me having 2nd dose of 2. Doesn't mention 1st one. Hope that's OK.
