Can't think why not, it's not operating system dependent.

The .p12 file, which most think is the digital certificate, is in fact just your personal link to a secure government server which you should be able to access with virtually any browser and operating system.

Thanks Darro

Had a link and password but just won't work. Unable to download software on the FMNT website. When they gave password they said it was no good for phone or tablet. Just looking if anyone had achieved this.

Two things:

1. You have to hold a doctorate in computer science in order to install the certificate sucessfully Seriously, you can download manuals (two actually) that are about four pages each. These are of great help.

2. As I understand it, you can only install the certificate on one computer at the time. The moment it installs on one it will be inactive on a previously installed machine. Can someone confirm this?

Good luck!

Unless you're one of those people who instantly throws up their hands in surrender at the least challenge it's really not all that difficult!

In fairness I have to say that I downloaded mine and the wife's on a laptop not a phone or tablet so can't comment on the password not working on those, it would seem an odd situation considering how many these days only have one or the other. Nothing to stop you asking for help from a friend or acquaintance with a PC or laptop though.

Once you have the .p12 file, which is an encrypted text file and the net result of the entire process, you can copy it to virtually any device because, as I said before, ultimately it's just a link which you use with a browser. It's also what you give to a lawyer if you want them to do your tax returns etc.

I have mine on my PC, laptop (Windows 7 & 10 respectively), Android phone, and Android tablet.

Apparently you can apply for a certificate by video ID here http://www.accv.es

I can't test it because it recognises that I already have one.

Hi Darro

Thanks for advice. Getting the certificate and link is easy. Getting software and the link to open on Chromebook is the hurdle.
