People who insist on driving a RHD car here as residents are just making do, and they know it. ;)

And very true

That's a stupid comment people making do driving a RHD, I drive a RHD I brought my vehicle from the UK and transfered registration, to buy the equivalent car in Spain would have cost me three times as much, that's not making do, thats common sense, and I have no problem driving on the roads here.
I would also say that when it's time to change my vehicle I would be looking to buy from the UK and doing the same, thus saving me thousands of £s/€s now that's common sense.

While I agree that a LHD car would be easier and best. I think the comment about "making do" is ridiculous.
I have a Top of the range Mecedes CLS, my present to myself when I retired 5 years ago, Why am I "making do" when i have a quality motor that I hope will last me many more years.

We still have our RHD car that we purchased in U.K. before we came to live in Spain, we had it re-registered, paid import charge and headlights adapted. Have no problem driving in Spain as mentioned in previous posts, if you don’t have a passenger you just need to get out at the toll booths. This doesn’t happen very often.

Post Brexit you might find the taxes will be prohibitive in that saving versus Spanish car prices.

Try selling your lovely cheap English top of the range RHD car here and see how much you get for it, compared to a Spanish equivalent.

And what would make even more common sense is to buy a LHD car in the UK.

That's the point I don't want to sell it.

I`ve already explained that I also brought my English car down, registered it on Spanish plates and changed the headlights and drove it for several years experiencing the usual problems you would get with driving a RHD car here.
I was a beautiful car and I was loathe to get rid of it just to get a Spanish one, but the matter was taken out of my hands when it was stolen.
Again, because I used to do a lot of touring around Spain and managed quite well with a RHD getting a LHD made touring that much more pleasurable because everything just fitted into place.
That's me done on the subject .. It's worse than the smoking thread.
