Easter Sunday

Whether God exists or not is a never ending debate.
A lot of troubles in the world have been centered around religion or at least it is used as a cover.
I envy the person who truly believes in their God as it will put the rest of their life into perspective.
Maybe it is about a person finding their own spiritual peace.
Happy and peaceful Easter.

If its open discussion and we really must have religion on here, can we discuss the relationship between ISIS and Christians. That would be more interesting

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Yes, that’s what General Discussion is for. If religion is the topic in the run up to Easter, I’d like to discuss allegory -v- ‘true story’ in the bible (or any other religious manuscript). How did an old man in his 80s climb Mount Sinai and carry two hefty stones back down just to smash them up? Was there really a great big wooden boat with 2 of every creature in it that survived a gargantuan flood? If God created Adam in his own likeness and made Eve from his rib, why are they depicted with belly buttons? If they only had 2 sons......how did creation continue? Not judging, just possible discussion topics.

We came from outer space, God was an an astronaut from a far away planet. He impregnated apes and later sent new spaceships that built the pyramids and gave intelligence to Apes who we then evolved from.
Adam and eve committed incest and God was unhappy so made stories up, creating numerous different competing religions around the world to start wars.
All else failed so to try to get rid of some religions he creates ISIS who was getting rid of the Christian's until the great leader Trump defeated them, so he created coronavirus to see if that would work.

It would appear that all the psychiatric wards have been closed during the pandemic and the patients released into the community.

I'm an atheist with no problem of anyone believing in any religion they care to but to celebrate my Easter I will be eating Cadbury creme eggs and watching life of Brian
