Easy jet voucher

Easy jet voucher

Postby lancashirelass » Sat Apr 04, 2020 9:55 am

Good morning
Has anyone had experience of accepting a voucher from Easy Jet in lieu of cancelled flights?
It’s impossible to request a refund but not sure how the voucher system works
Thanks. Keep safe

You don't have to accept a voucher. The vouchers are only valid for 6 months and limit you to using Easyjet for your next flight.
You might be better applying for a refund which is your legal right. That way you can use whichever airline is still operating, at a price and time to suit yourself.

There are 2 ways to get your refund. Either ring Easyjet on 00 44 330 365 5454 and request your refund (good luck with that!) or apply to your bank for a chargeback on your credit/debit card, if under £100, or section 75 if over £100.

The voucher is only valid for 6 months . EasyJet to give a full refund on flights if it has been cancelled because of the ongoing situation . You have to ring them ( number on website) and simply ask for a refund , the whole process takes minutes

Thank you for tbe advice to apply to bank for a chargeback on cancelled Easyjet flights. I have today done that, a long process of the clerk filling in a form with all the details. However, I now have to send an email to them with the evidence that the flight company are obliged to refund the flight cost. I know this is on the small print of some EasyJet document, but as my flight was done on the App with the boarding card details, then later came up as Disrupted Flight I do mot have that small print. Can anyone enlighten me please as to where I can see that so I can copy it to put in the email to claim?

Hi I think your find now that easyJet has changed their policy with reference to cancelled flights I myself was due to fly over to Quesada next week you were only able to get six months voucher but now they have cancelled the flights they are actually allowing the voucher for 12 months, I received the voucher and reference number 24 hours later and you do not have to take the flight within that 12 month period as long as you rebook the flight hope that helps.

I'm not sure what evidence your bank requires but the terms & conditions for Easyjet flight disruption is on their website..... http://www.easyjet.com/en/help/boarding-and-flying/delays-and-cancellations

If you login with the booking reference they will email you a flight VAT receipt with all the details.

"
If your flight is cancelled you can transfer to another flight for free, or select to get an easyJet voucher that you can redeem at a later date by selecting “manage disruption” in
Manage Bookings
.

For refunds you will need to contact our Customer Service team. We are currently experiencing extremely high call volumes at the contact centre and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please note that refunds may be made to your original payment method(s) via multiple partial refunds (up to the amount of the total refund due). "

Hi All...The whole thing is a con and a farce...My Wife has spent the last four days (not the weekend) trying to get through to the Number that Easy jet told her to call on her flight cancellation E-Mail. If you do get through an automated system runs you around the houses until eventually it cuts you off. They (easyjet) took the refund option off the website ...they are offering vouchers on the website only. We just want our money back as we are entitled. We have a message logged with our bank re a reimbursement from our Card but He Ho no reply from them as well.
