Maybe you're right but to all intents and purposes you can use UK electrical equipment fine in Spain. What worries me more is that Spanish wiring doesn't have an earth terminal!

I think that you will find that it does, have a look on the top and bottom of the round plugs and you will see a metal strip, that strip connects to the earth.

Most electrical DIY tools have a plastic casing and only have a flat two pin plug as they do not require earthing.
