Entry to Spain from 1st June?

Excuse me if this has already been asked but do we know with absolute certainty that Spain will allow visitors on the 1st June?

Unlikely, but if we get the green light later I would need to swap flights quickly.

Believe we may know later this evening, there is a press briefing at 1700 UK time, and rumours are likely Spain will be on the "Amber list" with a review after a few weeks , and following that it is hopefull that it can changed to green route status by end of June, I stress this is speculation before the TQ lynch mob start...

If Spain does allow visitors in from June 1st then good luck to you but,the elephant in the room is getting back to the UK. Apparently it's anything up to a 10 hour wait at UK customs.

That would put me off for sure.

I too doubt Spain will be anything other than amber but just want to ready if it does go green. I have heard that Spain will accept tourists from June but it never says what day in June.

Not disputing what you say in any way - but, hopefully,
a) - the UK customs situation may improve by mid/late June.
b) - if the traveler is sufficiently inoculated the current process and isolation requirements (amber country) may also have been eased.

The current block on third party nations (including UK) entering Spain expires on 31st May. This could be extended (it has been at least 3 times) but not cast iron guaranteed either way at the moment.

Have to await any further announcements.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. I can make a very late decision so not all lost today. Maybe the picture will look very different in 3 weeks time.

Question really. - quote from the London consular site

Who can and can’t travel to Spain from the UK starting 30th March?

- British citizens (as 3rd country nationals) can't travel to Spain at the moment, in general terms.

- EU citizens and their relatives -including British ones-, can.

I may be relying on that advice - accompanying my Irish wife into Spain in June
Both - With the required Health check papers

I think the time delay you mentioned is just another media scaremongering to get attention. We have friends here who are selling in the UK and renting here and they are having to make frequent trips back to the UK. Not once has there been a delay or issue with customs or passport control, looks like the UK have got the airports sorted.
