I hear your argument but, the same can be said of anyone, who voted other than Tory, we have no voice.
Those that do go out to vote need to examine more deeply, the sound bites emanating from the Conservatives and echoed by their media puppets. Seek the truth. The apathetic need to get out there too and vote.
The SNP has damaged the anti Tory vote in Scotland and, Scotland should look at the fiasco created by Brexit and ask themselves, “Do we really want more of the same with our Independence?”. We are a Union and we are better United and, we should first unite against the Conservatives. Once that’s done Britain can reinstall the the care, healthcare, police, and other social structures, which have been either starved of funds or worse, stripped away completely.

I'm with you on that one cooper67, a couple days ago Doris even took away the rights of children. As far as I'm concerned he behaves like a dictator.

During the Independence referendum in 2014, Scotland was fed lies by both the Tories and Labour with their "Better together" campaign and we were told that leaving the UK meant we would NOT be in the EU.
England and Wales didn't take any notice of the lies that were told and voted to leave the EU but Doris didn't care about 2 Nations voting to remain and steamed ahead and look what's happening in N. Ireland now. The problem is 3 Nations from 4 will always be outvoted by England. The sooner Scotland is responsible for it's own finances and Laws will be a great day for me.

Where’s an independent Scotland going to get its money from?

This video linked below from Phil Moorehouse of A Different Bias channel in Aug 2019 was the only one I've seen that could give anything like a credible explanation as to why the UK left the EU in the first place
Powerful people and interests in the UK didn't want to pay their fair share of taxes. They wanted to continue to keep their money hidden in offshore tax havens, away from the nosey people from the Tax Office.

They will have to come up with their own currency until they qualified to join the Euro, if that ever happened.Glassfull wrote:AndyC wrote:…The sooner Scotland is responsible for it's own finances and Laws will be a great day for me.

They could choose to tie that the £ but how 'independsnt' can you really be if tied to another countries currency?
Sorry but Scottish independence is a total pipe dream with it's advocates ruled totally by their emotions not their heads and they will sorely rue the day if it ever happens.

My,this thread has gone from the boredom of Brexit to the even larger bore of the Scots wanting independence, the best way for Scotland to gain independence in my opinion is for the Scots to push for the English to get a vote on it,that would almost guarantee a yes vote.
