So all on all - a positive effect from Brexit, then.
It means that there should be more control over the entry of Brits into EU cointries, which appears to be one of the main wishes of many forum members.

Its no big deal. Its similar to the US visitor visa scheme. Done on line, costs about £7.50 and lasts 5 years.
No issue giving finger prints (although I've not seen this will apply here), as other countries also do that, including America and its not stopped people visiting there!!
If you have nothing to hide and are a genuine visitor there is nothing to be concerned about.
I, personally, have always supported the concept that the UK controls should be of the same (or higher) standard when compared to those of the USA, - competently & adequately enforced.
Why should I object to Spain or anywhere in the EU taking that approach?
The key words are "competently & adequately enforced"

Don't forget EU citizens will have to go through the same procedure and complete an ETA to enter the UK .

What's so special about Spain ? If the EU make it to difficult to visit I'll just jog off to one of the hundreds of other countries outside the EU. Spain relies on visitors for income.....I don't think they will go out of their way to 'shoot themselves in the foot'.
