Are you sure it's a 2 night crossing?

The only 2 night crossing we've ever done is the Portsmouth to Bilbao on Sunday evenings. The ship stops off at Roscoff for a few hours to allow a crew change.

Excellent, thanks. What day & time does it leave Portsmouth?

Setting off in the evening and arriving early morning has always been our preference. No need for additional hotels and the 2 nights in the cabin make it seem more like a cruise.

I appreciate maybe cost doesn’t come in to it for you, but for us, driving from Torrevieja, through France and doing Calais dover, all the way home to Lincolnshire, costs less than £300 for both fuel and ferry fee. Via the options you looked at, when we enquired, just the ferry cost £550-ish, plus what ever fuel needed to get from one end to the other. Still takes the same amount of time, either driving or being on the overnight ferry.

Hope you get sorted anyway.

I tend to agree with daz, above. The cost of ferries from Santander and Bilbao is prohibitive to me.Having been a professional driver all my life I am accustomed to long shifts.Quesada to Dieppe is normally an 18 hour amble.Only 1 fuel stop coffee when you want and as much motorway tolls or as little as you like.If i leave Quesada at 1800 I expect to be in Dieppe for 12 - 1300.Ferry usually sails at 1800.

A couple of weeks and I’m doing that route, so it’s only 18 hours for you, is that hammering it or just normal 80 mph.. on motorways?
Do you drive through or stop one night?
I’m going by Moho so will stop at camping sites if open or village Aires.
Which route do you take?

Plymouth to Santander aboard the Pont Aven is a very comfortable and enjoyable journey.
We do it every year .Brittany Ferries are a very well run company with excellent food and drinks.
