Motor insurance in Spain is far cheaper than the U.K. and you don’t have to pay for other drivers as you insure the car and not the driver. Think of all the money you have saved over the years! No point in crying as the Spanish seem to have you over a barrel no matter what you do. That’s life ( in Spain)

I think Spanish insurance is really expensive my hubby's insurance was only £130.00 fully comp and included free breakdown cover!!

I really wasn't looking looking for advice, comparisons or sarcasm. Just wanted to air my experience
and let others be aware of how it is in Spain which, I thought, was the reason for this forum's existence.
Also I disagree with the opinion that motor insurance is cheaper here. It is at least 35% dearer.
