Hola , i don't know which area you live in but here in Torrevieja officially you would need a small works licence and permission from your community if you live in one.

If I understand correctly, if you live on a community and permission has been granted for for the community at the AGM you do not.
I had them fitted the town hall said no problem.

As has been said : If you live in a Community you need to ask if you need permission. Ask the Presidente or the Administrators.

If you live on a community, you need permission from the President/Administrator, and a Minor Works Licence from your Town Hall (Ayuntamiento).

If you don't live on a community, you only need to apply for the Minor Works Licence from your Town Hall.

If you are buying a property that has had any work like this done to it, your solicitor (Abogado) should check that the relevant licences are in place and included in the contract, to ensure that you don't become liable for retrospective approval.

They tell you that because they think because they are removable but it is the fact that they turn your porch or terrace into living space that makes them require a licence

Ask your Administrators. They will know. Don't believe everything you are told by workmen. They may be correct but it's best to ask the right people.
