Here’s hoping that includes us Brits.

Jillandsteve

I am well aware Brits are foreigners. What I was referring to is that all current reports on opening borders are targeted at the other eu countries. With the addition that there is no mention of when Brits will be allowed entry. Apologies if I did not make myself clear on initial post.

Thanks

You are right George, I have heard many ex pat brit residents on this forum and the Murcia forum say that they would not welcome Brits back as the UK are so far behind the Spanish in dealing with the virus.

It's possible that our family might be able to get a holiday as the flight to Alicante so far hasn't been pulled.
But the problem is still going to be travel insurance as our annual policy ran out in April. That will be the same for quite a few.

I see the biggest problem as the 14 days quarantine period. Any foreigner coming to Spain will have to come for a minimum of 14 days and self-isolate for that period; then, when they return to, for example, the UK, they will need to self-isolate for a further 14 days. I'm sure retirees will be able to make this work, but can't see how the majority of working mums and dads are going to get employers to agree to it....... The last thing we need is a second spike
