Graf fire service needed

I remember before lockdown recommendations were posted for a firm in Los Montesinos but I’m not sure what it was called. Our enclosed gas fire provides instant heat normally but it hasn’t been used for a few years and refuses to light. Please help as the evenings aren’t war at the moment . We have the aircon and a big oil filled heater but could benefit from the 4kws provided by the fire.

If the fire has not been used for ages the pipe will be full of air. Keep trying and eventually it should light. Patience is needed lol.

In that situation I always used a blow lamp with care on the pilot system plus firebed

Great advice but not a chance! We don’t have a blow lamp and what is a fire bed? Our fire is behind glass.
I have the oil heater and aircon on and it isn’t cold but nothing like home! I’m laughing, my husband is sitting with 3 sweaters and a wool scarf on.
Must get our gas fire up and running. That’s my job for Monday.
I really appreciate your advice but I will leave it to someone who knows what they are doing. Definitely neither of us. Cheers.
