Guardamar beach

Guardamar beach

Postby Diane daya vieja » Sun Aug 02, 2020 3:58 pm

Please can anyone tell me what it’s like to visit Guardamar beach from the safety viewpoint?
We want to take our visitors and thinking of going down about 3 pm one day.
We don’t mind paying for loungers and umbrella as our car is not very big.
Anyone been recently?

Hi, yes we go a lot and it is fine lots of safety measures in place, people distance, you don’t have to wear a mask on the beach even when walking along the waters edge. Best time to go about 3 as most of the Spanish leave at 2 so much more space, the beach bars are open and you can still hire beds and umbrellas

You do have to wear a mask walking along the water's edge. You don't have to wear a mask when walking from, your patch on the beach, to the water for a swim

Safe as houses, you’re biggest problem is you won’t be able to park, went down yesterday at 12.30 to have lunch and came back after 1/2 hour driving around, went last week at 6.30 and came home after 45mins no where to park

Are the parking meters in operation at the moment near the beach? TIA

We went in Saturday at 12.30 and there was plenty of room to park by the parking meters. There was plenty of room to sit on the beach, socially distanced. It was really hot out but with the sea breeze, it was lovely. The sea temp, was perfect. Will definitely go again this week.

We were down there yesterday (Sunday) and lots of room on beach.
Chiringuito open on Centro beach with umbrellas and loungers.
Parking meters are in use.
Beware of sea areas where there are undertows - marked by red flags & patrolled by lifeguards.
(We saw the lifeguards rescuing someone there last week)
