Hi sometimes the comments on here stagger me why would you even concern yourself about this if there are people there that have passed the 90 days are they doing any harm
They are spending money in the country I am sure they are not breaking any terrible laws except enjoying themselves in a wonderful country
After the year we have all have had can't we just get on with our lives and enjoy this wonderful world while we can
130.000 people in this country (uk) can't enjoy themselves anymore due to covid so stop worrying about who should and shouldn't be in Spain and chill and enjoy your lives !!!
How do you feel about "Illegals" arriving on the South coast of England?

Hi
Sometimes the comments on here stagger me, with there naivety.
They are there illegally, and therefore not paying into the state the funds the state demands from it citizens.
Why on earth would anyone except and condone people who do not pay there dues, and all living under the radar are doing just that.
Those as stated here not resident but living in Spain, are most likely defrauding the tax authorities in both countries.
The shortages created by these practices have to be replaced by the people how do play by the rules paying more.
The deaths in the UK is as will be proved in the longer term substantiality higher due to the incompetence of the government, but the truth of this statement will have to await the reports of the inquiries.

I am sure if they could, "Illegals" would be only too pleased to pay taxes to the UK, and they would still support relatives back in their homeland. (My father was an Immigrant and he did both.)

Anybody who has been under the radar ever since January should by now be being on the radar if immigration systems are working.
Obviously not something to boast about for fear of being caught out - but great to know how many are getting away with it.
Good luck to you if you are. I don't agree with the dog in the manger philosophy.
Seeing as we have big problems with illegal immigration in the UK, I would never support it if Brits think it’s ok for them to do it in another Country.

I don’t have a problem with it but he can’t get his jab because he is trying to stay under the radar.
I do worry for him.
There has been a call for people who are not residents but have been in Spain for a few months (you had to have been in Spain for at least 2 months I think it was) to register for the vaccine. We had a thread on here where one poster advised that in Torrevieja you went along to your health centre with your EHIC and passport and you got a temporary SIP number. The SIP no would be important for downloading your vaccine details later.

It's great when it works
This morning's Times.
"Dr. Waheed Arian of Chester is a remarkable man. As a child he fled Afghanistan and arrived illegally and alone in Britain aged 15. He won a place at Cambridge University to study medicine and now, aged 37, is a doctor and behind a charity that helps the sick in war zones"
Unfortunately, for many reasons, it may be rare example.

I’m confused. Obviously, a Irish citizen with an Irish Passport can travel to Spain and stay within the EU rules and apply for Residencia after 90 days.
But wouldn’t a UK citizen holding an Irish Passport have it noted, within that passport, that they are UK citizens?
If that’s the case, how can they stay over 90 days and, are people fooling themselves?
Irish passport holder if living in UK is a UK resident not UK Citizen..
