Help please repairing a lace top!

Brand new top, label cut off today just before I ironed it. Well here starts the problem..... the iron although not to hot has burnt a couple of holes in the lace. I don't know how to repair it or if it can be. Has anybody got any ideas/tips to share.
Feeling really sad at the moment as I love this top.

Looks like it is synthetic and the heat has vaporized

Maybe you could buy an appliqué to fix on over the damaged psrts
