Help please

i have bought a new iPad mini 4 and I cannot get into my Facebook account. I can’t remember my old password ( as automatic sign in on all my devices). I have gone through trying to reset my password but the code Facebook send is not going to the email address that is registered with FB. I have tried lots of times but the code is not coming through and it is the correct email address. Anyone help please. ????

Have you checked your email Junk mail?
A huge quantity of spam is generated purporting to be Facebook and email filters could well be filtering your genuine mail out . . .
My system has 2 junk mail filters, one on the server usually called bulk mail and one on my device, so check to see if you have more than one they could well be in there?

No nothing in junk maiI. My FB is working ok on my old Ipad and Iphone and I have tried again this morning but still no code in my email. I have tried to change my password on my FB account on my phone but I need my currant password to get in to change the password Messenger is not working either now.

Get them to send a SMS I have just had to do that to create new password and now ok

Have you tried this:
Settings, Passwords & Accounts, Website & App Passwords. You should find your Facebook details in there click on the details and it should give you your password.
