This makes these visitors safer than those you already come across in the supermarket, bars, resturaunts etc.
Seriously,if you fear properly tested visitors, over all the unknown people you already come across there's something wrong.

Whilst I do agree with you, there is the potential situation where someone doesn't have Covid 72 hours before arrival, but is asymptomatic and DOES have it 24 or 48 hours before arrival.

Testing negative on Day 1 doesn't stop you testing positive on Day 2...

Well basically the only thing that Spain can do is to close all borders and allow no one into the country.

MichaelC is spot on! Why is Spain demanding a PCR test then if as someone previously has said that you can be carrying Covid without testing positive. Spain hasn't got Covid Has it???This is becoming silly! I won't be coming as it is too near Christmas and I always spend it with family here in the UK but I will be out to my second home as soon as possible after that mostly because of the disturbing news that squatters target unoccupied homes. Please also remember that all of us with our second homes do spend a lot of time here and spend a lot of money in spanish stores which certainly helps the economy, and I believe helps keep your food prices down. I do get angry with some peoples comments it's as tho we second home owners are also second class - please roll your necks in.

From 1st January 2nd home owners do become 2nd class citizens in their 2nd home. Unfair but true.

That's why they temperature check everyone on arrival. If they caught the virus after the test it should be picked up that way, so theoretically everyone is free of the virus on entry.

No TonTri that's not correct.
My understanding is that the temperature check is just a check that's quick and the best check there is that doesn't require a long wait for the results. In other words it's the best that is currently available that can deal with the volume of people quickly.

It is not 100% and won't guarantee everyone is free of the virus on entry.

Not necessarily correct.

Those who are asymptomatic (and there are many) will not necessarily have a raised temperature.
