You can go to the land register office in Dolores , it doesn't cost much as far as I remember a few euro's , of course you'll need your ID .

The Notary who signed the Deeds is who you go to for a copy. If you don't know or can't remember go to http://www.registro.es and get a Nota Simple. Costs €20.76 and it will be sent to your email in 5hrs. You will have to input the name(s) on the Deed , first one is enough if in 2 names, the address of the property and your cadastral no which is on your IBI bill - it's the long alpha numeric reference. Then request a copy of the Deeds from the Notary Public listed on the Nota Simple. I think they cost €200.

Yes Jules everybody should get a copy once the sale has concluded and the Notary has completed the registration. Normally they would be returned to your solicitor but buyers are sometimes not made aware of this by their solicitor and the original deeds are gathering dust in an office somewhere or they mislay the Deeds and years later can't remember who acted for them. You then have to go through the process of acquiring a copy. A Nota Simple is usually sufficient rather than a complete copy of the Deeds. I can't believe the way the price has shot up for the on-line copy. As when I got one on line about 3yrs ago it was €6.50 and now it's €20.

Your right Bee, ours were at the solicitors which the notary sent him after the sale. The solicitors called us to come and pick up a copy, he kept the original set.
