Iberdrola email advising changes ...

Iberdrola email advising changes ...

Postby Titch » Mon May 10, 2021 1:01 pm

I’m in the UK at present, and have received an email from Iberdrola advising that they’re going to make changes to our meter remotely regarding new hours of power and consumption. Is this Iberdrola raising their prices? Anyone know what’s going on?

we received one recently from Energy Nordic advising the same. We have telephoned our supplier and they have confirmed this is a government initiative. To get the reduced electric we are going to put our washing machine, dishwasher on timers.

I read somewhere that all electric costs are changing.
I saw this which says that they will go onto a 3 tier tariff with most expensive usage between 10am & 2pm; mid price between 8am & 10am, 2pm & 6pm, 10pm & midnight; and cheap tariff from midnight to 8am.

Doesn’t that just alter the daily standing charge,we’re on 5.3 kw,or do they charge more for power used,if they do can’t really see why, surely the charge for power used should be the same for everyone,or is that too simple.

the daily standing charge is the same for all sorry so will be set in your contract and there are hundreds of those none the same

I have just checked a bill for a home on a 5,75 kw and the rates are at present Peak 0,217559 per kw and Valley 0,118499 per kw

my own which is on 9.2 kw is Peak 0,201758 per kw and Valley 0,102731 per kw

Thanks for that ours is 5.75 not 5.3 so the larger the potencia the slightly cheaper the kw hr then by the looks.very complicated.
