Can anybody explain the logic/sense in my electricity bills, especially now we have so called monthly bills. One month a low bill next a HIGH bill and now it seems a fortnightly "top up". Great these smart meters, so much for consistency. We are resident and our daily usage is very similar, so why ?

It might be an idea to sign up for an account on the Iberdrola website. It's available in English and the available data is very comprehensive- you can see usage for each day, both peak and off-peak. You can also switch tariffs online
I've only ever had one bill per month so multiple bills does not seem normal.

When we had the smart meters fitted we changed to the day/night tariff at the same time.
We had a bill for just over 10 days on the old tariff and then another bill a fortnight later to take us to the end of the month which I assume was their billing period.
Since then we've had a bill every month and have saved at least €30 a month.

We have always been on day./night tarrif, never a problem before "smart meters " but why 2 bills for September a fortnight apart is beyond me. A visit to the office is in order

As an aside if you want to check you are paying the most competitive and lowest price use this site.

https://watiofy.com

They search and do comparisons. My tariff with Iberdrola came back as the best so very happy.

Pop in to Iberdrola in La Zenia and speak to them about your bill they are lovely and speak excellent English.
