Iceland Torrevieja

Iceland Torrevieja

Postby marcliff » Fri Mar 24, 2023 1:10 pm

Inevitable I suppose but being reported Iceland Torrevieja will be closing in mid April.

The store is not even half the size of what it was and, the few times I've been there, always seems rather empty of goods and people.

Shame for the staff but so much competition now that it has been on the cards for some time.

Wonder if the same will happen to La Marina. All the staff in Torrevieja will be working at other branches Cabo Roig and Quesada so that's good

We would like to thank all of our customers for their support over the years and we look forward to seeing you in our other stores.

Thank you.

San Fulgencia/La Marina is usually a bit busier than the Torrevieja store although they have cut back on stock a lot as well.

We buy a lot of frozen stuff at Iceland and we are prepared to pay the high prices and that is our choice.

Whether we are getting ripped off is another matter.

Well I for one will miss it very much. Yes, it is a bit more expensive but they stocked items that I wanted. Eg. Plain ordinary salad cream, not mayonnaise Water biscuits , Flash with bleach, thick bleach ( Domestos) coffee, Waitrose tea, hash browns and so much more including pure cream.
I am sorry to hear this and like everyone else, sorry for the staff.
At least we can drive over to La Marina and stock up.
Really annoyed about this.

Thank you. We don’t have a Consum near us but will go over and take a look around the one on The Lemon Tree Road. Bet they don’t have any Carrs Water Biscuits! If they have,I will be delighted. Cheers.
