I've seen people walking their dogs with those long contraptions with a tennis ball at the end that throws the ball a 100 yards so the dog can run after it, that's not just going for a pee is it?

Sorry Chris ..” Bin dippers “ , ? Are you talking about a homeless person ?
If so , then spare a thought for them ..homeless ,no possible shelter in these cold nights ..
No food , except for bin scraps ?
No one to share their loneliness , and no one to “stay clear off” in their empty lives ..
If I m wrong , I apologise in advance .
If I m correct ..well !
I thought you did charity work , and we’re better than that !

No I'm not talking about a homeless person, I'm talking about one who collects scrap metal to sell, he's a nice bloke. I do work for a charity, one who look after the homeless and poor families in Torrevieja and surrounding areas. We've had to close because of funds, charity shops had to close so no income and we still have rent to pay etc and cannot afford to keep the commodore open. The homeless are still getting fed elsewhere. You should volunteer and you would see some don't want help, it would open your eyes.

A friend of ours, with her dog, was stopped for being more than 100 metres from home.

Can someone please explain what harm there is in a dog chasing a ball. I have a dog and a tennis ball thrower and I promise you, you would have to herculean to throw it 100yards. Animals do not spread this virus and they need their exercise the same as us. So whats the problem?

Why, please tell my why, dog owners think they are different to anyone else? If the rules are there for a reason, they should be adhered to.
Lots of things don't particularly make sense, like no having 2 in a car but you can go in a taxi and so on. But they've made the rules.

Just like you walk through Quesada or, heaven forbid, Torrevieja and have to avoid the incredible amount of dog poo on the pavements. But everyone comes and says "Not me, I always pick it up". Well someone isn't, that's for sure.
Like someone on here a while back saying "It's the Spanish". Well it isn't. I was parked up by Gama where the playground is now waiting for my wife to come out of the hairdressers. Three people (2 women and 1 man) allowed their dogs to do their business and never picked it up. Not one of those was Spanish and that was in the space of 15 minutes.

We'd all like to get out and get a bit of exercise, honest. But we can't. As loads of people in Quesada live on urbanisations there should be plenty of room inside them to go out and do it. Provided you pick it up, of course.

Note: How many of you are taking the water and vinegar mixture to pour over the wee?

Whats the problem??
The problem is too many people (& i'm not saying you are one of them) are using dog walking as an excuse to get out & about. The terms of the "state of alarm" clearly state that you MUST walk your dog just long enough for it to carry out it's toiletry needs, staying as close as possible & then return IMMEDIATELY to your property. That indicates that if you are able to throw a ball for your dog to chase then you are probably further away than you need to be, bearing in mind that the dog must be on a lead at all times whilst on public roads/footpaths.
That i would suggest is the problem with a dog chasing a ball in the current scenario.
Just my view,
Dave.

Sorry Dave but you are assuming too much. I live on an urbanisation that borders the fields along the river Segura. I cross the road (dog on line)and into the field where I stand while my dog has a run around. 85metres from my house. If there is a problem with him running a 100yards, I fail to see what the problem is. Most dogs need a bit of exercise before they can do their business.

Even with the short distance that I walk, I aways have a bag and a bottle with me, together with my driving licence and pardon.
